PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale has announced its “Season of Service” events for 2016, as part of the city’s participation in the “National Day of Service” in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 18, 2016.

“We have designed the ‘Season of Service’ to both offer service projects for residents to join in on as well as to provide resources and information so that residents may develop their own service projects,” said Community Programs Supervisor Trish Jones.

Last year, local residents donated more than 40,000 hours of service towards making Palmdale a better place to live, according to city officials.

“All it takes to volunteer is a willingness to give, an interest in your community, and your time,” Jones said. “There is no minimum number of hours required, every hour donated is valuable.”

Yes, this is good. I think it is important that I maintain a service to others way of life now that I’ve reached 40 years of age on this -3 rd dimensional planetary sphere. Serving myself will ultimately get me nowhere. I hope what I speak of occurs more and more of the similar, if not, same in Conscience others.
