Neighborhood Watch Orientation in Palmdale tonight

by The AV Times Staff • November 2, 2015

neighborhood watchPALMDALE – Palmdale’s neighborhood services department, along with deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, will host a Neighborhood Watch Orientation presentation at 7 p.m. this evening (Nov. 2) in the City Council Chamber, located at 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite B.

This informative orientation will answer questions about Neighborhood Watch and describe how it works and helps neighborhoods.

“We’re inviting residents who are not currently part of a Neighborhood Watch Group to come and learn how the program can make your neighborhood safer,” said Palmdale Crime Prevention Officer Kery German. “Neighborhood Watch is the best and easiest way to learn not only about crime trends, but also disaster preparedness, home security and personal safety issues.”

“How can something that is so easy and takes so little time have so many benefits?” German asked. “Come find out during our orientation. Forming a neighborhood watch group takes very little time and effort. It’s the perfect way to meet your neighbors, learn how to deter crime in your neighborhood, help prepare for a disaster and more.”

For more information about the meeting or to learn more about Neighborhood Watch, call Palmdale’s neighborhood services department at 661-267-5170.
