89 employers expected at job fair this Wednesday

AVC Job fairLANCASTER – Job seekers are encouraged to attend the Antelope Valley’s largest job fair this Wednesday at Antelope Valley College’s Lancaster campus.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23 in the Fine Arts Quad, located at 3041 West Avenue K. There will be free parking on campus that day.

As of Monday, 89 companies and organizations are scheduled to attend this year’s event, including public safety agencies, aeronautics companies, education and healthcare organizations. View the list of employers here.

The fair, hosted by the college Job Placement Center, typically attracts more than 1,000 job seekers.

It is open to:

  • College and high school students,
  • Members of the community, and
  • Anyone looking for a job.

Organizers say job seekers should:

  • Bring a resume,
  • Dress for success, and
  • Ask appropriate questions.

    Ok i looked at the list and its mainly Goverment Jobs, so if you dont plan on going into Law Enforcement or working for a non-proft, there isn’t much left on the list. Most ofthe government jobs require skill training.

      Must be a different list as most of the employers are not government.

      Why are you lying about who’s on the list? Are you trying to keep people from attending? These jobs are NOT Government jobs, there’s all kinds of employers all kinds of jobs!
