LANCASTER – Congratulations to El Dorado Little League’s 10-11 Year Old Softball All-Star Team! The girls beat Rosamond Little League on July 2 to become the 10-11 Year Old Softball All-Star champions for California District 51, according to Jeannette McLernon, League Secretary for El Dorado Little League.

“The final score was 8-6 in the eighth inning; both teams played their hardest, but El Dorado triumphed,” McLernon stated. “This championship win is the first in the last seven years for El Dorado. The league’s last win was in 2008.”

She said the girls played their hearts out all season and then managed to step it up even more for the All-Star tournament.

“We are proud of the whole team for their hard work and dedication throughout the season,” McLernon stated. “Thank you to all the players and the coaching staff for an amazing season and All-Star win. Big thanks to all the parents who took the time to get their daughters to and from games and practices; your support is what made this season possible.”

Next up, the team will play in the section tournament, which starts Monday, July 6.

“Good luck in the section tournament at Tujunga Little League. Bring pride back to the east side!” McLernon said. “Congratulations again from the entire El Dorado Little League Board.”

The players on El Dorado Little League’s 10/11 Softball All-star team are: Marissa Edwards, Savannah Webber, Sydney Hanrahan, Makya Jones, Daniela Ledesma, Destiny Lopez, Aracely Mejorada, Cassidy Munoz, Madison Rice, Jade Volkert, Rebecca Montalto and Alyssa Hinds.

The team is managed by Rick Hanrahan and coached by Ashley Ortiz and Ezekiel Buckhalter. El Dorado Little League is located on the east side of Lancaster.
