by The AV Times Staff • June 8, 2015

Safety presentationPALMDALE – The City of Palmdale’s neighborhood services department will host a Home Security and Personal Safety presentation for seniors.

The event starts at 1 p.m. this Thursday, June 11, at the Legacy Commons for Active Seniors, located at 930 E. Ave. Q-9 in Palmdale.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

Geared toward seniors, the presentation will teach basic tips on home security, personal security and current theft and fraud trends aimed at seniors.

“It is important for seniors know how to protect yourself, and this presentation will give you helpful hints so you are not a ‘soft target’ for criminals who will go to great lengths to scam and scheme,” said Palmdale’s Crime Prevention Officer Kery German.
