More on the country music performers

ACM New Artist of the Year nominee Thomas Rhett’s debut album, “It Goes Like This,” has spawned three consecutive Number One hits, including a three-week run with the platinum-certified “It Goes Like This.” His latest Number One single, “Make Me Wanna,” topped Billboard’s list of Best Country Songs of 2014. The project also produced the platinum-certified “Get Me Some of That,” as well as two Top 15 hits – “Beer With Jesus” and “Something To Do With My Hands.”

Frankie Ballard began his career playing open mic nights and drums in a band. By the time he was out of college, he was leading his own band, playing more than 200 nights a year and taking trips to Nashville once-a-month. His album, “Sunshine & Whiskey,” spawned his first Number One hit, “Helluva Life.” Ballard’s style is a mixture of influences – from country classics to blues legends, from southern rock to contemporary sounds – all held together by the force of his artistic personality.

Other performers in the 2015 Palmdale Auto Mall Concert Series include:

  • Boyz II Men and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, performing Friday, Aug. 21.
  • Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo’s 35th Anniversary Tour With Dennis Deyoung: The Music Of Styx, performing Saturday, Aug. 22.
  • Banda MS, performing Sunday, Aug. 23.
  • Peter Frampton & Cheap Trick, performing Monday, Aug. 24.
  • Heart with opening act, Left of Centre, performing Tuesday, Aug. 25.
