PALMDALE – If you recognize the suspects in these images, then Palmdale Sheriff’s Station detectives would like to hear from you.

The men are accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a Palmdale Walmart and assaulting a store employee who tried to stop them, according to Palmdale Community Relations deputy Jodi Wolfe.

The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. Monday, May 4, at the Walmart located at 37140 47th Street East in Palmdale.

“Two unknown suspects broke into a ‘cash cart’ inside the Walmart store and stole a bag of money containing thousands of dollars,” Wolfe stated. “At the time employees were alerted of the theft, both suspects were running toward the exit.”

Wolfe said a store employee staged himself in front of the exit doors in an attempt to recover the stolen cash.

“As the two thieves approached the employee, one struck him, causing him to fall to the ground,” Wolfe stated. “Both suspects fled the store with the bag of money.”

The first suspect (shown running) is described as a black male with short black hair, between 18 and 22 years old, around 6 feet tall, and about 175 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and black shorts.

The second suspect is described as a black male with curly black hair, between 18 and 22 years old, around 6 feet 2 inches tall, and about 175 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on the identity or location of these robbery suspects is encouraged to contact Detective Saylor of the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station at 661-272-2474. To remain anonymous, call LA Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).

I guess they only learn from their family to be thugs they need to teach their kids to get a job and make honest money not teach them to go and steal everyone else’s belongings and this is not only at stores but everywhere the are ghetto losers .

I would like to thank Antelope valley for making this place like Compton, South Central, Crenshaw, and all the nice places LA has.

I always wondered when I would see them pushing that “cash cart” when or if it would be hit. Maybe Walmart with all of it’s money should consider installing a system for their cash pickups like Costco has. It would be much safer, more secure and if they robbed it, they would get way less! Yes, they are thugs, but it was a well thought out move. Sad that the employee that intervened may be fired.

We need a sheriff sudstation inside all Walmarts. No Hollywood Ralphs had a security guard posted with a chair and podium next to the Liquor Section. Saw it with my own eyes.

Security Guard posts would not take effects, but Sheriff Substation will be great to watch over thieves and robbers inside Walmart.

Or a robotic drone that patrols inside will be better than a substation.

I wonder if they will report on this site that the guy who tried to stop them at the door will be fired for trying to stop them. It is against Walmart policy to engage any thiefs. The company has too much capital to allow an associate to engage the suspects. They can just easily replace any money and loss but now they have to pay that associate and possibly face lawsuits from the employee… Just a thought…

You have to be kidding, with the amount of $ Walmart makes surely they can purchase better surveillance equipment. These still images are unbelievable!
