PALMDALE – The Palmdale Aerospace Academy’s Team 5012 Gryffingear will host fundraisers at three McDonald’s restaurants in Palmdale to raise funds needed for their trip to St. Louis at the end of April to participate in the FIRST® World Championships.

The fundraisers will be held:

  • Monday, April 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. – McDonald’s located at 37217 47th Street East and Avenue S in Palmdale.
  • Thursday, April 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. – McDonald’s located at 2427 East Avenue S and 25th Street East in Palmdale.
  • Monday, April 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. – McDonald’s located at 131 East Palmdale Boulevard near 5th Street East in Palmdale.

McDonald’s will donate a portion of the proceeds from purchased meals to the team. Customers are asked to mention Team 5012 Gryffingear when they place their order.

“We’re thankful that McDonald’s is generously helping us defray the costs of bringing our team to St. Louis to compete in the 2015 FIRST World Championship on April 21 – 26,” stated Team Parent/Coordinator Nardy Lopez. “The team is seeking sponsorship support for travel costs, which include shipping costs for their tools, pit booth and much more.”

If you are interested in supporting the team, please attend one or all of the three fundraisers, or contact Nardy Lopez at 661- 916-8070 or nardylopez70@gmail.com.

Potential sponsors may also contact Team Advisor Brian Martin at 661-273-3680 ext. 15 at TPAA, or at 951-972-7196 or bcmartin@tpaa.org.
