Reminder: High Desert Tattoo Expo this weekend

LANCASTER – Thousands are expected to converge in Lancaster this weekend for the second annual High Desert Tattoo Expo.

The event takes place April 10-12 at the Pioneer Event Center, located at 45000 Valley Central Way.

The expo will feature artists from all over California, as well as tattoo shops from out of state.

Old Town Ink from Scottsdale, Arizona, will be in attendance, featuring Bubba Irwin from Spike TV’s “Ink Master.”

Artist and Antelope Valley native Armando Rosete will showcase a black-light art exhibit and conduct live art during the expo.

Featured celebrity guests will include:

  • Roman Abrego, a popular tattoo artist known for his bio-mechanical designs and for having made an appearance on Oxygen’s hit tattoo competition series “Best Ink.”
  • Brittanya is joining the High Desert Tattoo Expo for the second year. (contributed)

    Brittanya, a model and co-owner of the clothing brand 187 Clothing, joining the High Desert Tattoo Expo for the second year.

  • Queen Esther, a familiar face in tattoo magazines around the globe.

The second annual High Desert Tattoo Expo will also include tattoo contests, a freak show, live music and car clubs. Plus, there will be professional mobile tattoo shops doing on-site tattoos and piercings.

Last year’s event drew more than 2,500 attendees, and organizers are expecting between 3,000 and 5,000 attendees at this weekend’s event.

General admission is $15 per day or $30 for a three-day pass.
