LANCASTER – A 28-year-old Mojave woman was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle rollover crash on the 14 Freeway in Lancaster, authorities said.
The fatal collision happened around 10:53 p.m. Sunday, March 8, on the southbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, north of Avenue G, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The woman was driving a 1997 BMW 540i southbound on the freeway, approaching Avenue G at an unknown speed, the CHP report states.
“For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle and caused it to travel to the left onto the dirt center median. The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover sequence,” the CHP report states.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Paramedics. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, according to the CHP report
UPDATED 3/10/15:The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Samantha Farley of Mojave, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
