Video: Local sisters are ‘All about the Thin Mints’!

by The AV Times Staff • February 3, 2015

LANCASTER – Antelope Valley sisters Taylor and Jordy are on a mission to sell Girl Scout cookies, and they’re doing it through song.

Taylor, an eighth grade honor student at Hillview Middle School, is both a Bronze and Silver award recipient in her ninth year of scouting. She is fundraising this year for a troop trip to Europe. Jordy, a second grade honor student at Randall Pepper Elementary, is in her second year of scouting. She is hoping to earn a fuzzy stuffed animal.

Jordy received an honor roll award last week, while Taylor (pictured with Hillview Principal Robert Garza) received an honor award in late January. (Contributed)

The girls recently put their Girl Scout cookies sales pitch to music in a delightful YouTube video.

“It was a family affair with help from me, my husband and son,” stated mom Raynika Farmer. “They are always singing ‘All About That Bass’ by Meghan Trainor, so we figured that it was the perfect tune to rap [and] sing to.”

If you are interested in buying Girl Scout cookies to help these young performers reach their goals, email CookieSellingSisters@gmail.com before March 8.

The family lives in Lancaster, but will also deliver to Palmdale. Deliveries will be made in the evenings.
