PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale’s recreation and culture department will be accepting applications for summer jobs beginning this Monday, Feb. 2.
Recruitment will begin on Feb. 2 for the positions of program leader, senior lifeguard and head lifeguard. Recruitment for lifeguard I will begin Feb. 17.
A variety of program areas are available for individuals with a wide range of experience, including formal work experience and volunteer experience. A limited number of positions are available, so interested individuals are encouraged to apply early. Details and applications will be available at www.cityofpalmdale.org.
“These are great opportunities for our residents to join the City’s team next summer,” said Director of Recreation and Culture Keri Smith. “We’re offering entry level positions which provide individuals who are positive, motivated and community minded the opportunity to develop transferable, versatile skills which will benefit them throughout their careers.”
Qualified applicants will demonstrate professionalism during the recruitment process which will include displaying good written and verbal communications skills using correct capitalization, punctuation, grammar and spelling; the ability to complete the application correctly; providing appropriate email and phone contact information; and including three quality references with valid phone numbers.
