Technically, Jay was, indeed, appointed to the council. However, this was because he had actually won the seat fair and square in the last election and Parris had interfered with Palmdale’s ability to seat him from that election.

Actually Jay, Thompson was not appointed. He won the election.

BUt back to politics, I love how the city council is now appointing minorities to fight back the lawsuit. First thompson and now her.

Lancaster council woman Sandra Johnson was appointed to her seat by Parris. Thompson won his election and Parris is trying to stop it from being official. Parris should mind his own business and take care of his city that has enough problems that require attention. If he’s not up to the task, he should resign. Or if he would rather run Palmdale he should move there and run for mayor. That would be hysterical.
