Deadline extended to apply for AV Fair Board

Apply NowLANCASTER – The deadline has been extended for submission of applications for the position of Director for the Antelope Valley Fair Association, a 501(c) (4) organization.

The new deadline is Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 5 p.m.

The eleven-member Board of Directors is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Fair and for the planning and production of the annual Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival.

The Antelope Valley Fair Board has worked diligently for nearly 76 years to safeguard a community asset that provides programs and services to the Antelope Valley.

Criteria for Fair Board applicants include a commitment to dedicated service, excellence and ethical standards that ensure the continuance of the A.V. Fairgrounds and its facilities.

Applications are available on-line at www.avfair.com.

Applications must be completely filled out and dropped off at the AV Fairgrounds administration office in a sealed envelope. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, to be considered for the next appointment.

The AV Fairgrounds administration office is located at 2551 West Avenue H., Suite 102, in Lancaster. For more information, call 661-948-6060.
