20th annual Fall Job Fair set for Sept. 10

LANCASTER – Job seekers are encouraged to attend the Antelope Valley’s largest job fair, which takes place next week at Antelope Valley College’s Lancaster campus.

The event is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10 in the Library Plaza, located at 3041 West Avenue K. There will be free parking on campus that day, officials said.

The fair, hosted by the college Job Placement Center, typically attracts more than 1,000 job seekers and numerous employers.

More than 50 companies and organizations are expected at this year’s event, including public safety agencies, aeronautics companies, education and healthcare.

The job fair is open to:

• College and high school students,
• Members of the community, and
• Anyone looking for a job.

Organizers say job seekers should:

• Bring a resume,
• Dress for success, and
• Ask appropriate questions.
