PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library will host a free class on xeriscape landscaping, the use of desert-friendly and water wise plants, at the Library this Saturday, Aug. 23 at 1 pm.
Presented by Brad Hayes of Greenbee Landscape, the class will feature information for people wanting to transform their yards in smart and attractive way and cut their water bills at the same time.
Attendees will even receive a free plant to take home with them, while supplies last.
“With our area in the middle of a severe drought and water rationing taking place, now’s your chance to make your yard look great and save water at the same time,” said Palmdale City Library Director Thomas Vose.
Greenbee Landscape’s mission is to provide a long-term solution for clients that will beautify and enhance their environment while saving them time, energy, water and fertilizer.
The Palmdale City Library is located at 700 East Palmdale Boulevard. It’s open Monday through Thursday, from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
