LANCASTER – Just hours after an alleged kidnapping and carjacking early Wednesday morning, Lancaster Sheriff’s deputies had a suspect in custody.
Michael Ealy, 26, was arrested when deputies found him sitting in the stolen vehicle about two hours after the alleged incident, according to a press release from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station. Read it below:
Lancaster deputies responded to an East Lancaster location where the owner of a Honda Accord had been kidnapped and carjacked at about 12:30 a.m. [Wednesday, July 23].
The victim stated he was leaving his place of employment in Palmdale when he was approached by Suspect Michael Ealy.
The Suspect stated he had a gun and took control of the victim’s vehicle. The suspect drove them to an East Lancaster street corner. The victim was allowed to exit the vehicle unharmed, and the suspect drove-off.
At about 2:30 a.m., the victim’s vehicle was located by deputies parked near 60th St West and Ave J, with Suspect Ealy still in the vehicle.
Suspect Ealy was taken into custody. Suspect Ealy was transported to the Lancaster Station Jail and booked for kidnapping and carjacking, with additional charges pending.
Ealy was jailed with bail set at $100,000 according to LASD inmate records. He is due in court July 25 to face possible charges.

He kidnapped, carjacked and robbed the victim while toting a gun. This punk needs to be seriously punished and pay for his crimes. He needs to learn you cannot victimize and traumatize people.
