AGUA DULCE – Deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene Friday afternoon after a plane went down in Agua Dulce and injured two people, authorities said.

“Preliminary information indicates the airplane may have hit some power lines in the area,” Harris stated. “It has not been determined if this incident will be classified as a crash or an emergency crash landing, nor if the power lines were hit, causing the incident, or as a result of some other forced emergency landing attempt,” Harris continued.

One male and one female were on board the aircraft. Both were treated at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department and airlifted to a local area hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

The injuries sustained by both do not appear to be life-threatening; and their current condition is not available at this time, according to Harris.

The exact cause of the incident and subsequent investigation will be handled by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Aero Bureau.

There is no further information available at this time.
