WANTED: Artists for ARTown FUSION at TNOTS

by The AV Times Staff • June 18, 2014

ARTown FUSION TNOTS preview

PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale’s recreation and culture department is seeking artists to participate in its brand new ARTown FUSION artists’ showcase that will be part of this summer’s Thursday Night on the Square (TNOTS) events.

ARTown FUSION will be held July 10 and August 7 at Legacy Commons for Active Seniors. It will provide a unique opportunity for artists of all ages and abilities to display pieces of work and network with other local artists and the public.

“This will be a great new addition to all the fun we have planned for TNOTS this summer,” said Recreation Supervisor Annie Pagliaro. “For ARTown Fusion, we’ll provide each artist with a 6 foot table and table cloth for displaying their work. Larger pieces may be hung at a specific location at Legacy Commons by City staff.”

Interested artists need to fill out an application (available at www.cityofpalmdale.org) and either mail or hand deliver to:

Legacy Commons for Active Seniors
930 East Avenue Q-9
Palmdale, CA 93550

Deadline for applications is Thursday, June 26 at 6 p.m.

Artists will be contacted to confirm that they have been selected to participate, and at that time will be given specific details regarding what time they may arrive to set-up their art.

Now in its 14th year, TNOTS is an award-winning event that brings families and businesses together for eight summer evenings. Each event features fun for the entire family including live entertainment for adults and children, themed children’s activities, creative arts and crafts and delicious food in an open-air market.  (Read more about this year’s lineup of TNOTS events here.)

To learn more about ARTown FUSION and TNOTS, call at 661-267-5611 Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

My cousin sent me this through face book. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. May I participate, or is this for local artist only?
