Palmdale potty peeper pleads guilty

PALMDALE – A man who disguised himself as a woman to sneak into a Palmdale Macy’s bathroom and secretly videotape females using the toilet last year has pleaded guilty to multiple charges, authorities said.

Jason Pomare on Wednesday pled open to seven misdemeanor counts – six counts of unlawful use of a concealed camera for purposes of sexual gratification and one count of resisting arrest, according to Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami.

“The People requested four years and six months in the county jail,” Hatami stated, but the judge instead sentenced Pomare to probation.

Pomare, 34, was sentenced to five years’ summary probation, 20 days county jail (time served), plus five years of sex-compulsion counseling and classes. Additionally, Pomare was ordered to stay 200 yards away from the Antelope Valley Mall and to register as a sex offender and submit to search and seizure conditions during probation.

The conviction stems from an incident that occurred May 11, 2013, at Macy’s Department Store in the Antelope Valley Mall.

Sheriff’s detectives said Pomare disguised himself in women’s clothing, wearing a bra with gel pads and a dark shoulder-length wig, and then snuck into the bathroom at Macy’s with a miniature video camera concealed in a bag.

Pomare slid the bag underneath stalls in order to secretly videotape women as they were using the toilet, detectives said.

A woman spotted the setup and contacted store security, as Pomare scurried from the bathroom and out of the store, detectives said.

Pomare ran from deputies, but he was nabbed minutes later hiding underneath a tractor trailer near the store’s loading dock, officials said.

A purse was seized from Pomare, which contained a video camera, a mirror and a roll of duct tape, officials said. Pomare admitted to deleting some of the images while he was fleeing from deputies, however, his video camera still contained footage of a female sitting on the toilet using the bathroom, officials said.

He should of got a lot longer than that, i’m sure the images he HAD to delete before deputies found him were of the children he had also caught on film during his little spree. System has to stop downplaying/protecting the pedophiles. This man deserves more than misdemeanors.

Probation only? That is rather light considering that the man went to some lengths to gratify his fetish. Chances are he will re-offend and at least 1 other woman will be victimized.

What’s the big deal? Just another sex fonder, (1 of 850) who live in the AV who received probation instead of jail time thanks to a liberal judge. The AV,, what a sewer!

Complaining without a solution is useless.
