Welcome to America one of the worst places to live on the planet. Kill or be killed that seems to be the way of life there.

It’s funny how some ignorant people only point out the race of someone when a crime is committed. We can sit here all day and point out flaws of each ethnicity. I’m white and I’m more concerned about the white trash tweakers and the 90% white pedophiles in the AV area. This is just and example of how single minded someone could be. All I’m saying, stop thinking with your small, low intelligence way of thinking. Every race has it’s dummies…. at the end of the day, we are all human. And some humans just do not have a conscience.

@ tee. Typical Californian living in a bubble. I am a minority and I don’t justify people of my own race. Black and minority crime is out of control in the AV. I grew up in Utah and the big cities are now being destroyed by minorities. Luckily I am only living temporarily in Ca. Going back up north where I can raise farm animals, wear my gun on my belt, and be away form crime and big government.

@Yes, really?? Who justified anything. We are saying there’s lots of trash here we want it all gone every description. We won’t miss you and your judgemental sermon. Get your gun belt & ammo, some farm animals and get a burrito at chipolite. I don’t want to have lunch with you and your AR 15, so bye. When you leave to do whatever, don’t keep your CaliCare, EBT, WIC, phone or anything else that reminds of California, go back to the bubble. All I know about you is that you are arrogant and uneducated, no matter what, this why you can’t live here bye loser

I’d say one of the roughest parts of the AV are the four square miles of East Lancaster bordered by:

    Ave K to the South
    Ave I to the North
    Sierra Highway to the West
20th Street East to the East

Pull up the crime reports online, and see how many flags pop up in that 4-square mile area… it’s pretty crazy.

I live directly to the South of that area, between 15th East and 20th East (the Medallion homes) and we’re literally on an island, with next to zero crime, a quiet neighborhood, great neighbors, etc. I think some of contributing reasons for our relative peace and quiet:

The relative high cost of the homes when they were new in 2005-2006 ($350,000 – $500,000), our neighborhood watch program, the fact that the majority of the homes are still owned and resided in by the original owners, etc.

If everyone in the antelope valley got home cameras I’m sure crime rates would drop by 30%. Second option is to purge people.

Everyone who reads this beware there is a black guy in a mini van that is running around Lancaster pulling up to people in parked cars and asking them where they are from I was parked in the curve in my European car by 15th st w and ave I around 2:00 am around a month ago and he pulled up to me asking me where I was from and telling me i don’t belong here I feared for my life and really felt I was going to get shot. I’m scared to say but it might be the same guy who shot this guy. Everyone please don’t park in the curve late at night until this person is caught.

Not in my country your not you can sit in your car at anytime day or night without fearing for your life. I live in a far more civilised country than America. I’ve just returned from a two week holiday in Luxor Egypt and I felt a lot more safer there than I what did when I was in America.

Jon—15th street west and avenue I is not a safe place to be at 2:00 am! Unless you want to push the envelope. You should be able to park anywhere you want, but that’s not the case in todays world. Use your common sense Jon.

I agree with person, there are crooks in every race! Don’t pick on just one! I also agree with the sex offenders should be placed in a area out in the middle of desert with a barbed wire fence around them. Also cut of their privates so they can sex offend again. I want out of here too! Going sooner than later. These people need The Lord in their lives first before they change their lives.

Anthony was 30 years old. He was an awesome man, always eager to help any person of any color, at the drop of a hat! He attended college, working with disabled adults.

If you are going to start speculating or pointing fingers, take into consideration that Anthony has a respected mother and father, younger brother and older sister who have to survive life’s journey while missing an intrical part of their family structure. This is not an easy job!

Kindly soften the blow of your words.

So loved! Haters stop judging because you obviously didn’t know him. I agree with Patricia! R.I.P SWEET ANTHONY! GONE TOO SOON♡♡♡♡♡

2 weeks ago I moved 60 miles away.
The AV became nothing but a cesspool. I realize it more, now that left.

Where in the AV did you live? Which city? Which neighborhood?

          Where do you live now?

There are 500,000 people in the Antelope Valley. It’s bigger than Rhode Island. There are some very nice areas and some very mean streets.

I’m guessing that the loudest complainers live in the latter areas and think the whole Valley looks like that.

            May 30, 2014 at 11:21 pm

There might be nice areas in the Antelope Valley, but who wants to be neighbors with over 400 registered sex offenders, gang bangers, and black crooks? Definitely a very bad part of the country to raise a family.

I’m black and was born and raised in the AV. Yes I don’t like the way it is now but I moved away. There are evil people every where in all forms. Now, the sex offenders on the other hand is a problem that needs a better solution.

Telling someone if you don’t like the way the AV is to move is the WRONG answer, leaving will not fix the issue at hand. Judges need to quit dumping people here, The people of the AV need to take action against this and not stand for it anymore, Parents need to educate their children better and raise them better.

          • bird says

            June 2, 2014 at 3:32 pm

Wrong Answer—-No one told him to move. That person made their own decision, and that is their right. People have their own personal reasons for either staying or leaving. You made your choice to stay and take action. Fight the good fight and I hope you make a difference.

Wrong Answer—Maybe you should address the persons name so there isn’t a mix up with comments. Read the comment about the person who moved after 28 years.
