PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale is reminding residents that they have until this Friday, May 16 to submit written comments regarding the proposed housing location for convicted serial rapist Christopher Hubbart at 20315 East Avenue R in unincorporated Los Angeles County.
“We are encouraging anyone who has an interest in this matter to submit their written comments to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office by this Friday,” said Assistant City Attorney Noel Doran. “They will compile the comments and present them to Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Gilbert Brown at or before the May 21st hearing.”
How to submit comments
People may email the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office at HubbartLASafetyTaskForce@da.lacounty.gov or write to:

Judge Brown has scheduled a public hearing on the proposed housing location for Wednesday, May 21, in San Jose. There is no date scheduled for Hubbart’s release.
Hubbart admitted to raping approximately 40 women between 1971 and 1982. He was called the “Pillowcase Rapist” because he muffled his victims’ screams with a pillowcase over their heads. View a timeline of Hubbart’s criminal, social, and legal history here.
Despite his heinous crimes, Hubbart was granted a conditional release last year to Los Angeles County. He was originally slated for release to an Antelope Valley home at 17132 Laredo Vista Avenue, but the property owner withdrew his property amid public outcry.
Last month, Judge Brown announced a second Antelope Valley location (20315 East Avenue R) for Hubbart’s conditional release.
Thousands of local residents have joined a grassroots movement aimed at blocking Hubbart’s relocation to the Antelope Valley. For more information on the group’s efforts, visit: https://www.facebook.com/nopillowcaserapeist.

I am so shocked that our law system is so messed up …Not if you take a look at the statistics here in the AV. We as residents have rights as well.. We do not need more pedifiles here. Palmdale is not the drop of station for serious preditors or other high risk offenders. What is wrong with these judges? Do they live here? No Palmdale has suffered enough at the hands of the government and its programs already.. Ok example: Get kidnapped 3 times get sexually assulted twice get hurt from others stupid and I did say stupid addictive issues and spousal abuse is at an all time high. We as residents of the Antelope Valley especially in Palmdale are still recovering from other so called reformed convicts we dont want anymore here. Find an Island and put them all there. I will never be convienced that a pedfile will never act again on his impules.. Ever!!!! They will act out again. I have been in the situations where I was told oh he is reformed and guess what uh NO he was not he just got smarter on how to hide and cover up his hitious crimes against children and others.. If he comes here to palmdale we as residents again have to be on high alert and you as politions wonder why we go postal so to speak.. seriously let them live in your neighborhood. Oh but that never happens show me one pedifile that is allowed to live next to a city county state or federal personel you wont find it.. so we are less of a person community so lets just send them to palmdale.. we are a strong city and are working hard together to make our city a safer place to live not a dump station for the courts mishaps or misfits of life.. Give me a break.. Bieng a previous victum myself I demand they take him somewhere there are no children or anyone he can get to .. what wait till he does it again <<< Uh no I dont think so.. this is truely one of the sickest things I have ever come upon..

From Carmen Scherubel “I just talked to the Judge’s clerk. She said they do not allow media in any of their courtrooms and video streaming is considered “media” by the court.”
So.. which is it? Capacity or they don’t allow media? Oh, so having the right to speak our minds is considered “media”?
How about we let Judge Brown know exactly what we think of his court labeling our ability to participate in the public hearings in a REASONABLE manner as “media”.
We need to DEMAND our time to speak! CALL and EMAIL!!

The serial rapist should not be gettng out of prison. Period. So if the time comes, arm yourselves and protect your families.

CORRECTION..
JUDGE BROWN made the decision to not allow LA COUNTY to facilitate the video conferencing of the public hearings. LA COUNTY could take the equipment up there, set it up and run it. All Judge Brown had to do was say YES.
He is a coward. He doesn’t want to bother sitting through our testimony. Don’t make excuses for him.
Koui says
Hasn’t enough been said, already. This “thing” shouldn’t be let out of wherever they’re keeping him.
lakelaresident says
The deadline should be Friday May 16th, May 21st is the court date. FYI, We are working hard to stop the release to this address, we need letters by this Friday. When will the victims and communities have more rights than a sexually violent predator?
John Doe says
I was about to come in here to argue against everyone by saying what’s the point of prison if these convicted felons can’t get the chance to show they are rehabilitated. However, after reading his history, he should be put away forever. This guy is a 3+ time loser and shouldn’t be let out anywhere, anytime.
Michelle says
I can’t even understand why this man is being let out. The pain and grief he caused those women will haunt them for the rest of they’re lives. It scares me as a single mom to know that I now have to worry about another sick individual living in my community. We already have enough of them. Please dont relocate another one here and to put him right by a school. Are you kidding me?
skye says
I do not want this reoccurring criminal released into my home city put this man else where he should not be welcomed to the antelope valley that address is near a school and he shouldn’t be coming to our town we have enough crime and mess going on in the antelope valley and we don’t need him making more issues he has a problem jail time won’t solve being locked up then released he’ll strike again it’ll be easy for him to do it leave him where he is DO NOT bring him into our city
Mike C says
Send him up to South Dakota. We know how to take care of guys like this. We start off by tieing them to a tree. After that, anything goes.
William says
Poor Mike C. Nobody talks to him in South Dakota, so he has to talk to himself here in the AV.
It was good that he left but bad that he’s still ‘here’. He just can’t let go of what he didn’t like. That needs treatment.
