Palmdale Sheriff Station to conduct community survey

by The AV Times Staff • February 26, 2014

PALMDALE – Sheriff’s deputies, Explorers, and volunteers will be going door-to-door in target Palmdale neighborhoods this Saturday to answer questions and discuss public safety concerns with residents.

The community survey starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 1, and will focus on the Palmdale neighborhoods just east of Sierra Highway, from Avenue P-8 to Avenue Q-9, between 8th Street East and 15th Street East in Palmdale.

The community survey is being conducted to give local law enforcement and Palmdale residents the opportunity to work together to solve neighborhood issues.

These issues can be related to crime or quality of life, such as, graffiti, gangs, narcotics, abandoned vehicles, run-down buildings, etc.

The results of the survey will be made available to residents and will be discussed at an upcoming Town Hall Meeting.

Local law enforcement would like to hear from the citizens living within the community. What better way to learn about a neighborhood than coming out and discussing the issues face-to-face with the residents of Palmdale?

If you are not part of the focus neighborhood, you are still welcome to stop by the command post on Saturday to express any concerns within your neighborhood.

The command post will be at the Palmdale Community Church, located at 1051 East Palmdale Boulevard in Palmdale.

For more information on Saturday’s community survey, contact Deputy Eric Caplinger at 661-272-2588 or email e2caplin@lasd.org.
