by The AV Times Staff • February 7, 2014

LANCASTER –A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested and several stolen items were recovered Thursday, after authorities served search warrants at a Lancaster and a Lake Los Angeles home.

The Burglary Suppression Team conducted interviews with both male juveniles, and will now be able to solve numerous local burglaries, according to a press release from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station. Read it below:

The Lancaster Station Burglary Suppression Team served two search warrants on Thursday [Feb. 7] as the result of an in-depth investigation into several burglaries that have occurred in the city of Lancaster and Lake Los Angeles.

The first warrant was served at a home in the 1000 block of East Landsford Street in Lancaster, and the second warrant was served at a home in the 40000 block of 178th Street East in Lake Los Angeles.

Two juvenile subjects were identified as being involved in the burglaries and were taken into custody.

The Burglary Suppression Team deputies conducted interviews with both subjects, and as a result, will be able to solve numerous burglaries.

Several pieces of stolen property were recovered, and deputies are currently in the process of contacting victims to reunite them with their personal property.

Both subjects are residents of Lancaster. They were booked for burglary and receiving stolen property at Lancaster Sheriff Station and then transferred to Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall in Sylmar.

At this time, the investigation is ongoing.

According to whom are the “…deputies in the process of contacting victims…”? Not so long ago my house was broken into. Sheriffs caught the guy (they let us know) and “recovered” a lot of stolen property but they (sheriff dpt)never returned our stuff. Even though we made a report, and provided serial numbers. Talking to some people, i found out they like to “keep” stuff. I don’t care what happens to the perp but where is my stuff? Just saying….
