PALMDALE – The Antelope Valley Service Organization Association and the City of Palmdale will hold its annual POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony this Friday. This event honors prisoners of war and the men and women of the military who are missing in action.
The ceremony begins at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 20 at Poncitlán Square, located at 38315 9th Street East in Palmdale (between Avenues Q-9 and Q-10). It is free and open to the public.
Attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair and sun umbrella to the event.
The master of ceremonies will be Bobby Breech; Palmdale Mayor Jim Ledford will provide welcome remarks; and Major Conrad Hernandez and the Highland High School AFJROTC will lead the Table of Honor ceremony.
