PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library will host a greyhound story time and meet and greet at 10 a.m. this Saturday (May 18) in the Library reading room, located at 700 East Palmdale Boulevard.
The program will include a short greyhound story time for young children. Each child in attendance will get a free book while supplies last.
Following the story time there will be greyhounds available for a meet and greet with the public.
“We are so excited to be able to offer this program,” said Palmdale Librarian Debbie Melin. “We have partnered with the local greyhound rescue, GreySave, who will be on hand to provide information about greyhounds including how to foster or adopt, as well as bringing several dogs to the Library so people can get a firsthand look at what makes greyhounds such ‘grey’t pets.”
GreySave Greyhound Adoption is a greyhound adoption and support group in Southern California. They rescue former racing and otherwise unwanted greyhounds and adopt them into loving homes in Los Angeles County.
