PALMDALE – It’s that time of year again. Keller Williams Realty is gearing up for its annual RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day, an initiative that celebrates the company’s year-round commitment to improving its local communities.

Keller Williams Realty Antelope Valley is hosting a RED Day charity event this coming Saturday.

The 3rd Annual Keller Williams Give Back Celebration will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 4 at the Keller Williams Office in the AV Mall Parking Lot, located at 1401 West Rancho Vista Boulevard in Palmdale.

There will be plenty of food, live entertainment, activities, raffles and a live auction. The event, which is free and open to the community, will also feature a 5k Walk, Blood Drive, and Food Drive.

The group has already collected 7,000 pounds of food, which will be distributed to local food banks (Grace Resources and SAVES) for Antelope Valley residents who are in need.

“We would really like to be able to donate 10,000 pounds, if possible. We need your help in reaching this goal,” said Mike Watson.

Proceeds from the 5k Walk will go towards West Side Union School District’s WAVES Program and the American Cancer Society. Organizers would like to have a minimum of 200 walkers for this event.

To register for the 5k Walk, contact Mike Watson at 661-733-2196 or Rob Talbot at 661-524-5151. An iPad will be awarded to the participant who raises the most money for the 5k Walk.

Festivities will also include a silent auction, with items to include a week (or weekend) trip to Big Bear in a house that sleeps 16 people and has a gorgeous view of the lake.

Entertainment for the kids will include face painting, a jumper, an obstacle course, and much more.
