LANCASTER – Hundreds of children flocked to Lancaster City Park Saturday morning (March 30) for the 8th Annual Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza.

The event allowed children, ages 9 and under, to participate in various fun activities, including age-specific egg hunts, face-painting, bounce houses, and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.

“I love when the city puts together events like this,” said Lisa G. of Lancaster. “It gives us a chance to bring our families together in a safe environment, and is so much fun for the kids.”

The hunts began every 20 minutes, starting at 9:30 a.m.

There were special hunts based on the different age groups, starting with infant to 1-year-olds all the way to the final hunt for 8 and 9-year-olds.

The different hunts were rotated between the various softball fields.

Egg hunt 3“We come every year with our daughter,” explained Lancaster resident Wendy Q. “She will always have the fun memories of getting together with all these kids and having a blast.”

Children were able to collect eggs dispersed around the softball fields using their own baskets. After the hunt, they were able to redeem the eggs for prizes.

The opportunity to meet and get a photo taken with the Easter Bunny was available for only $3. Refreshments and snacks were also being sold.

“They really did a great job putting the event together. Everything started on time, and the workers did a fantastic job making everything run as smoothly as possible,” said Eric L. of Palmdale.

By all means don’t offend anyone. And don’t HIDE the eggs, lest someone’s self esteem is lowered because they couldn’t locate an egg. When does it end.

Right PD. Sikntired and I posted comments similar to yours, but the “powers that be” removed them….I’m surprised that your horribly offensive comment has lasted this long.

I take it as a compliment, Otto.
