Local Red Cross to host ‘March at the Mall’

American Red Cross AV logoPALMDALE – In honor of Red Cross Month, the Antelope Valley Chapter American Red Cross is hosting a March at the Mall event, featuring games, free prizes, puppet shows and live interactive presentations on CPR, first aid and disaster preparedness.

March at the Mall will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday (March 23) at Antelope Valley, located at 1233 West Rancho Vista Boulevard in Palmdale.

Local Red Cross representatives will give active presentations all day and show residents how to get involved.

The presentations will include:

  • Preparedness puppet shows
  • Preparedness education presentations
  • CPR-Hands-Only training

There will also be tables of information about the organization’s various programs and services.

Informational tables will include:

  • Youth Program
  • Becoming a Volunteer
  • Emergency and Disaster Preparedness
  • Disaster Action Team
  • Services to Armed Forces
  • Blood Services
  • Nurse Assistant Training/CPR/First Aid
