Lancaster accepting applications for three Commissions

LANCASTER  – The City of Lancaster is currently accepting submissions for the Architectural and Design, Criminal Justice, and Lancaster Neighborhood Vitalization Commissions.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16.

The Architectural and Design Commission is responsible for reviewing appeals regarding the interpretation and application of design standards. These include both existing design standards as well as design standards adopted in the future.  This Commission is also responsible for developing and recommending design standards to the City Council.

The Lancaster Neighborhood Vitalization Commission is tasked with garnering community support and working with the City Council and City staff to facilitate stronger neighborhoods. This Commission works with citizens, community leaders, other government agencies and local organizations in an effort to achieve its goals.

The City’s Criminal Justice Commission engages local citizens, community leaders and the organizations they represent in an effort to enhance public safety in Lancaster.

Applications may be delivered in person or by mail to Lancaster City Hall, 44933 N. Fern Ave, Lancaster, CA 93534 (Attn. City Clerk).
