Holiday Book Drive for local children

Barnes & Noble of the Antelope Valley is making it easy for shoppers to take part in the spirit of giving by holding a book drive for local children this holiday season.

The book drive runs through December 31, and all new books donated by shoppers will go to the Children’s Center of the Antelope Valley.

Red book marks have been placed in many of the books throughout the store to help shoppers find the perfect children’s book to donate.

To participate, go to the Holiday Book Drive display located in Barnes & Noble, select a gift tag from the display, choose a children’s book, buy the book and sign the bookplate provided by the cashier.

Barnes & Noble of the Antelope Valley is located at 39228 10th Street West in Palmdale.

For more information on how to donate to the Children’s Center, call 661-949-1206 or visit www.childrenscenter.av.org.
