Good to know the LASD is doing something more productive than escorting our mayor around his Blvd. so he doesn’t get beaten up.

Yup, the moral compass has been totally skewed, so best keep your eyes open and try to stay out of harm’s way in this”the most
        wonderful time of the year.”

This was an informative article, this type crime happens everyday at Wal-Mart. Along with the countless other crimes that occur here in the AV. I would also like to see the pictures of the people that were arrested, if is useful to everyone, maybe not the criminal but to the citizen that lives here abiding by the law. Stealing from a store leads to Burglary of a residence. I just would like to see what they look like , so if I see then loitering in my neighborhood I can make a call to LASD. Better yet , good work Wal-Mart & Loss Prevention & LASD.

Hopefully they lose their section 8 vouchers and get the hell out of this town!

When they lose their section 8 vouchers the owners will replace them with another person with a section 8 voucher. Who owns these homes that are rented to people on section 8?

You know, if parents were ACTUALLY allowed to spank their children instead of having to wip worry that some person is gonna yell “child abuse” then we wouldn’t have so many delinquents in this world. Nosy people from DCFS are the reason why kids are so disrespectful and mischievious.

    • Nancy P says

      November 21, 2012 at 1:17 pm

They may not be the only reason, but the worry about someone screaming child abuse doesn’t help when a parent is punishing their kid.

Why do they include the race? Don’t get me wrong…I’m pretty smug about it because I believe stereotypes exist for a reason. Racial profiling exists for a reason. And here it is in black and white living proof. BUT…the race shouldn’t matter. I don’t see the relevance to the article…

I am sure they are just pulling off the arrest records. I can see why they do it for identification, but I get you point Alyssa.

Letting the public know what race committed the crime is very critical!! Also let’s us know off our surroundings on the type of people that are committing the crimes. If a child molester didnt have to register, I sure as hell wouldn’t want them leaving next door to me! I just wished they would also list the names of them juveniles who also to commit crimes!!! Most of these people committing these crimes tend to do it else were!

What constitutes the Burglary charge, I wonder? They didn’t make it out of the store before getting caught, so it can’t go down as theft?

    • Otto says

      November 20, 2012 at 11:29 pm

Burglary is “entering with the intent to commit a felony or petty theft”….that’s all ya need.

      • Nancy P says

        November 20, 2012 at 11:35 pm

Like maybe they didn’t have the money on them to pay for what they were caught concealing?

        • Otto says

          November 20, 2012 at 11:52 pm

Exactly. The “intent” has to be shown and/or proven.

          • Bob says

            November 21, 2012 at 12:26 am

Coming into a store with no wallet, no money, and a car missing plates would constitute the intent.

Also, the use of special devices to remove/defuse rfid or other security devices would also be part of that.

Good, glad these punks got arrested. Hope since these are young ones they learn real fast not to do this crime.

The parents of those five juveniles better take this as a wake up call, otherwise their dumb girls are headed down a dark and dangerous path.

Time to start bringing back more serious punishments to curve these behavior.
