String of weekend robberies in Lancaster

by The AV Times Staff • November 19, 2012

LANCASTER— Lancaster Station detectives are investigating a string of commercial robberies, which occurred between 5:45 p.m. Saturday and 9:35 a.m. Sunday within the city of Lancaster.

Five local businesses were victimized, and an undisclosed amount of money was taken, according to sheriff’s deputy Miguel Ruiz.

None of the victims sustained any injuries.

Detectives are still working to determine whether or not the robberies are related. Authorities have not disclosed the names or addresses of the businesses that were hit.

Detectives believe all five incidents were committed by a Black male suspect, between the ages of 18-30 years old, Ruiz said.

Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact Lancaster Station detectives at 661-948-8466. To remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
