Candidates to gather at “Meet and Greet” today

by The AV Times Staff • October 15, 2012

PALMDALE – State Senate candidates Star Moffatt and Steve Knight have committed to attending a “Meet and Greet” event planned for today in Palmdale.

The informal mixer will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Larry Chimbole Cultural Center in Palmdale, and is hosted by The League of Women Voters Antelope Valley (LWVAV).

Other candidates in the November election have been invited and may be present as well, according to organizers.

The event, which is free and open to the public, gives local residents an opportunity to meet and interact with the people who will be making important decisions on their behalf.

Light refreshments will be provided by LWVAV and more information may be found at www.lwvav.org.
