LITTLEROCK – Fire officials are still investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a mobile home at a Littlerock trailer park this afternoon (July 10).

Fire officials received the call around 1:25 p.m. Minutes later they responded to Joshua View Mobile Home Park at 7320 East Avenue T in Littlerock.

“Upon arrival approximately five minutes later, we found a pretty well involved trailer fire,” said L.A. County Fire Department Battalion Chief Bob Mull. “Our initial action was to stop the spread of fire to the adjacent trailers.”

The fire was controlled in about 20 minutes, fire officials said. Photo by LUIS MEZA.

Mull said five engines responded to the call, and the blaze was under control in about 20 minutes.

A mother and daughter were inside the trailer at the time of the fire, but managed to escape without injuries, fire officials said.

A family dog was found hiding underneath the trailer. The fire singed the dog’s coat, but a firefighter was able to rescue the pooch before it was seriously injured.

The trailer was declared a total loss.

So sorry for the family’s loss. The fine Firefighter with the puppy is a native of Lancaster, an ex-Marine and granduate of AVHS. He has alway been a blessing to our family and I’m so proud that he can help others.

This fine firefighter’s family must be so proud. In 100+ degree weather, layered in clothing, inches away from flames, and gently holding a small pet, he manages to do it all with a smile on his face.

These are our Valley’s heroes!! I hope everyone appreciates them as much as I do.
