Man pistol whipped after interrupting burglary

LANCASTER – A man checking on his brother’s home Friday afternoon was confronted by three intruders who pistol whipped the man, robbed him and then took off, according to family members.

The incident happened around 2:18 p.m. in the 44900 Block of Logue Avenue, said Lancaster Station Watch Commander Lt. Carter

“When he enters the home, be believes there were three males inside the house,” said Carter. “He was pushed to the ground at gunpoint and threatened that he was going to be killed if he moved.”

The victim told family members one of the men held a gun to his head and then pistol whipped him in the face, a female relative said.

The man had a large swollen bruise on his right cheek bone and eye.

The house was ransacked, and the intruders stole the man’s wallet and other items from the home before escaping on foot, Lt. Carter said.

“So it was a burglary that escalated into a robbery,” he said.

Lancaster detectives are asking for the public’s help in solving the crime.

  1. one last thing. my name displays different from others because it links to a website. if anyone else links to a website yet does not display please let me know so that i know that theory is incorrect but at this time i believe that is the reason why. i admit i could be wrong on this one but that is what i’m guessing the reason is.

    • Danelda, can you name one orginization that calls itself a criminal orginization? I believe that Vagos sport the 1% patch… This means 99% of mc clubs are harmless clubs but they are part of the 1% that engages in criminal activity… Did you go to their website? It has a section for locked up members! Are you really that naive… I agree that saying one group or another is responsible for anything is wrong… however in certain cases you can label groups as being bad… ie bloods, crips, vagos etc… they all have a track record of violence and crime…

  3. I agree hmr. The crime rate was reported to be down drastically, until the day Rex was elected again.
    I am glad we have this forum, so people who bother to take the time, can hear the truths about things really going on here in Lancaster.

  4. Is there any good news on AV Times? Or is it that Lancaster is the new Compton.

    Get rid off the Prison and Section 8 and we can return this community to what it was 20 years ago.

        • “Sam” made the statement, so the burden of proof is upon him to provide his justification for it. I have previously given my justification in other discussions as to why I support my positions, so it should be no problem for a real person (who is not just a political troll) to provide the same for theirs.

          Clearly, your grasp of debate and jurisprudence in such matters is nonexistent.

        • Do u actually know any vagos or are u simply going by rexy poo parris s false claims because I actually know Vagos in real life and does not sound like anything they would do just something they may get the blame for due to persons speaking out of their realm of knowledge and basing their statements on the fairy tales of others. The vagos are about riding motorcycles. period. certainly they may have members who are themselves dangerous as a rattlesnake but so do the freemasons, the screen actors guild, i’m sure even bingo clubs have had a bad egg or two as members but we should not hold that against an entire club any more than we do other types of clubs. The vagos are about riding motorcycles. and just for the recod they are a registered mc (motorcycle club) so contrary to what rexy poo says they ARE NOT an outlaw motorcycle gand. people need to stop watching some of those 60’s n 70’s biker movies and thinking its about real life. try actually meeting and talking to a vago or other mc member. you may just change your opinion once you actually know what you are talking about.

          • The lack of informed commentary is evident in those who due to lack of any substantial thoughts of their own creation and a laziness that precludes their ability to delve deeper into an issue before speaking on it are left with nothing other childish name calling as a reply to an informed comment. I just was stating that there are no facts that ANY member of the Vagos was involved in this crime yet statements were made that implied THE VAGOS themselves were responsible for it when there is no evidence to support or even indicate such a thing and that is how ugly rumors get started.

            and as for who cares what rex thinks… well i do for one. i live in lancaster and as he is the mayor what he thinks and what he does can have a direct impact on my life in various ways and i think any responsible citizen should feel at least mildly interested when a person whose thoughts can control event and circumstances citywide has a thought. of course those who allow others to do their thinking for them need not concern themselves with such matters so get back in the backseat my little follower sheep people and just do what your told like good little followers do have a great rest of the week

          • really yes i am well aware that members of the vagos may have been involved with criminal activities but members of almost every group and union has and that is not held against the entire organization. and please show my dumba$$ where the Vagos have registered themselves as a criminal organization because the only thing i know them to be is a motorcycle club. all i am saying is unless you know them personally or are aware of information that nobody else is dont involve certain groups in crimes that they likely know nothing about because that is exactly how some groups get bad reputations.

            and as for attacking my spelling… lol spell check already did that. will practice my spelling list before the test. i promise. ;-)

        • Popped out a few replies to get some width back in this discussion.
          First: the reason for the different name is that all of the fields for submitting a reply are included. The hyperlink is created when a URL is added to the Website field of the reply form. Try it some time.
          Second: Spelling is not something that can be used to establish any real weight on another persons intelligence or ability to communicate. At some level it’s obvious when a person uses Ebonics or broken English that their native language may be other than American English, however it’s like Geometry and Algebra you generally get one and not the other. People who misspell words will always misspell words because they don’t see language the way others do. After about 12 years old if you can’t spell you basically will never be a good speller. People who correct it are literally just wasting their time, including teachers.
          Therd: <- see how I did that.
          Third: While it has been pointed out that this incident has no evidence that it is related to Vagos, there is an important fact that is being ignored here. The Vagos have been titled by the FBI and ATF as an organized crime syndicate. Freemasons, SAG, Paraclete bingo and not even Angel's Bingo have been afforded the same attention from the FBI or ATF so comparing them is ludicrous. Almost as much of a waste of time as making spelling suggestions to those who can't spell.

  6. Bad news makes news. There is a lot of good stuff happening around the valley as well, but it is the bad news that makes headlines.

    • You are correct, Chris. The overall crime rate has been decreasing for the better part of the last couple of decades (some crimes more than others & some regions more than others). The news media is skewed towards reporting of the unusual and outrageous – that’s their business model: “if it bleeds, it leads.”

      This gives a very skewed perception amongst the population wherein they believe that crime is worse than it actually is, as well as what the source of the problems in the community are. This also causes the population to scream for ‘action’ on those things that they BELIEVE to be a problem, which causes our politicians to direct their bloviating towards issues that really aren’t a big problem instead of the REAL problems that we have.

  7. is anyone safe in this town anymore? I thought that the crime rate was down. too much time and attention on the BLVD?? who cares about crime..
