by M. Dilworth • May 29, 2012

At a press conference Tuesday, Council Member Sandra Johnson announced some of the shows coming to the LPAC for the 2012/2013 season.

LANCASTER – At a press conference Tuesday, city officials announced the lineup for the 2012/2013 season at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC).

“You can come [to The BLVD] and have a wonderful dinner, have some beer and/or wine and enjoy a great show with wonderful professional performers,” said Council Member Sandra Johnson.

Boyz II Men will perform on Valentine's Day 2013.

Headliners include Canadian pop and country singer-songwriter k.d. lang (Sept. 1); Comedy Central’s Mike Birbiglia (Sept. 23); comedian Bill Engvall (Nov. 3); rock musician Chris Isaak (Dec. 12); Boyz II Men, the most successful R&B group of all time (Feb. 14, 2013); and Grammy-award-winning country legend Juice Newton (June 1, 2013).

The City also announced plans to renovate the performing arts facility in grand style.

“On every front, we have been witnessing an evolution,” said Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris in a city news release. “There has been a transformation in the way we manage our resources, an extension of our reach into the community, and at the center of our most enlightened changes lies our treasured Lancaster Performing Arts Center.  Providing more than 20 years of entertainment to our community, LPAC continues to bring us something old, something new, something treasured and something true, each and every season.”
