Countdown to Warford Walk for Wellness

HEALTH – Walkers from all across the Antelope Valley will converge on Poncitlán Square in Palmdale this Saturday, May 19 for the 3rd Annual “Warford Walk for Wellness and Healthy People Celebration.”

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Poncitlán Square Gazebo, followed by a morning stretch at 8:40 a.m., and the walk at 9 a.m.

The “Healthy People Celebration” with vendors, activities and information will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A celebration of health and wellness, this annual free event open to all Antelope Valley residents features a 5K walk led by Master of Ceremonies and Antelope Valley Press columnist Bill Warford, remarks from local dignitaries, health vendors, community resource information, entertainment, children’s activities and health and wellness demonstrations.

Participants are encouraged to bring a hat and water bottle with them.

Sponsors of the Warford Wellness Walk include the City of Palmdale, Sparketts Water, the Antelope Valley Partners for Health (AVPH), Best Start LA and the Antelope Valley Press.
