Five arrested in trailer park robbery

by K. Enrique • May 12, 2012

LANCASTER – Four adults and one juvenile were arrested Friday night after blocking in a man as he was driving through a trailer park, and then snatching the man’s cell phone, wallet and valuables, authorities said.

The robbery happened around 7 p.m. Friday at the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park on 1301 East Avenue I, according to Lancaster Station Watch Commander Lt. Kroeger.

“The victim was driving his vehicle through the mobile home park when one vehicle cut him off and stopped in front of him, and then another vehicle pulled in behind and blocked him in,” Kroeger said. “About seven suspects exited both of the vehicles and they opened the doors to his car and started taking his property.”

Kroeger said the thieves robbed the man of his cell phone, his wallet and other personal items. He said after the robbery, the victim followed the thieves.

“He followed after them and then called us and we caught up to them,” Kroeger said.

Kroeger said four adults and one juvenile were arrested for robbery and booked at the Lancaster Station. He said two more thieves are still on the loose, but he believes they will be caught quickly.

Kroeger said he could not release the names of the five arrested or the victim because of the ongoing investigation.

We were just trying to figure that out re:
the Cell too. Maybe somebody in the TP saw what happened and tossed him their phone. Either way, through the book at this scrap material. The crooks should be arrested simply for being stupid.

If they stole his Cell Phone, how did he follow them and call police? What am I missing?

Hahaha!! I wondered that too. Maybe he used a payphone, but do they even still have payphones anymore?! Maybe someone in the trailer park did him solid and called the cops for him.
Either way, thugs are getting bold nowadays. You’re not even safe in your car anymore in certain areas. Might be time for me to start carrying my pepper spray again…
