AV Service Organization Association wants you!

by The AV Times Staff • May 10, 2012

The AVSOA partners with the City of Palmdale to host services for Veterans Day, shown here.

PALMDALE – The Antelope Valley Service Organization Association (AVSOA) is looking for individuals interested in assisting with the planning and preparation of upcoming events designed to honor and recognize our veterans and nation.

Each year, the AVSOA partners with the City of Palmdale to host annual events, including services for Memorial Day, Flag Day, POW-MIA Day and Veterans Day. The AVSOA meets for four consecutive Mondays prior to each event at 5 p.m. at Legacy Commons for Active Seniors, located at 930 East Avenue Q-9 in Palmdale.

Created by the City of Palmdale and various local service organizations in 1994, the AVSOA encourages community members to plan and participate in the organization’s four annual events.

Its goals are to promote community involvement and recognize and pay tribute to those in the community who have and are serving the country.

For more information, call Jennifer Tallakson  at 267-5611.
