Palmdale man captured after fleeing courthouse

by The AV Times Staff • April 26, 2012

ALHAMBRA – A 36-year-old Palmdale man, who ran from the courthouse after he was remanded, was later captured and taken into custody.

At around 3 p.m. Thursday, Jason Albo appeared in Department 4 of the Alhambra Court for a probation violation hearing. During the hearing the judge ordered Albo’s remand.

Albo then ran from the courtroom and continued his flight until he was out of the courthouse. Deputies chased after Albo, but lost sight of him as he ran west on Beacon Avenue in Alhambra.

A containment was established and court services bureau personnel assisted by Sheriff’s Aero Bureau, Temple Station and Alhambra Police Department personnel searched the area for Albo.

Residents alerted law enforcement that Albo was hiding in the 300 block of 3rd Street, Alhambra.

At approximately 3:45 p.m. Albo was captured and taken into custody without incident. He was booked at the Inmate Reception Center.
