Updated 4/3/12 at 5:30 p.m. The man shot to death, in the parking lot of Snooky’s Sunday night, has been identified as Vyacheslav Berzer, 33, of Reseda, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
LANCASTER – Late Sunday night a 33-year-old man was shot and killed by a security guard outside an adult nightclub in Lancaster, according to authorities. The incident happened around 11 p.m. at Snooky’s on Sierra Highway. The man’s name had not been released as of 8 a.m. Monday; he was identified only as an adult white male by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office. No arrests have been made, and detectives are still investigating the incident.

Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man, which occurred on the 42600 block of Sierra Highway, Lancaster, Sunday evening.
Detectives have learned that two men were asked to leave the location by licensed and armed security guards.
A short time later, one of the men returned to location armed with a shotgun. The man pointed the shotgun at the security guard and fearing for his safety, the security guard fired multiple rounds at the suspect, striking him in the upper torso.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
The security guard was detained at the scene by responding deputies. He was interviewed by Homicide detectives and was fully cooperative with the investigation.
The suspect’s shotgun was recovered at the scene.
The identity of the suspect will be made by the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner.
