ATTN Palmdale residents: Neighborhood Watch Orientation on tap for Tuesday

by The AV Times Staff • March 23, 2012

PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale’s public safety and community relations department will hold a Neighborhood Watch Orientation presentation for property owners and residents this Tuesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, located at 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite B.

“We’re encouraging residents who are not currently involved in Neighborhood Watch to come learn about the program and how easy it is to form and maintain a group in their neighborhood,” said Palmdale’s Crime Prevention Officer Kery German.

“Neighborhood Watch is the most effective means available for keeping crime out of our neighborhoods,” said German. “It’s also very effective in preparing yourself and your neighborhood for any type of emergency situation such as an earthquake or wildfire that may arise.”

Palmdale crime prevention officers and deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale Station will facilitate the presentation.

“We will answer your questions and discuss how Neighborhood Watch works and how it can help you and your neighborhood,” said German.

For more information about the meeting or to learn more about Neighborhood Watch, call Palmdale’s public safety and community relations department at 661-267-5170.
