“Lincoln’s Hand” to be discussed by Palmdale City Library’s Mystery Book Group

by The AV Times Staff • January 9, 2012

PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library’s Mystery Book Discussion Group “Mystery, Murder and Mayhem” will discuss the book Lincoln’s Hand by Joel Fox on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m., at the Larry Chimbole Cultural Center, 38350 Sierra Highway in Palmdale.

Is Abraham Lincoln’s body in his grave?  When DNA from a hand found with a blackmail note traced back to 1901 matches the DNA from bone taken at Lincoln’s autopsy, Senior FBI Special Agent Zane Rigby is assigned the case.

Along the way he discovers a local congressman hiding a dreaded secret and a strange doctor who claims he can perform medical miracles.  Looking for redemption, Rigby must discover the secret buried beneath Lincoln’s Tomb.

The Mystery, Murder and Mayhem Mystery Book Discussion Group meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m., at the Larry Chimbole Cultural Center.

The group is open to anyone who enjoys a good mystery.

The discussion also provides disabled access with 72 hours’ notice.  To request special aids for the disabled or for more information, please call the Palmdale City Library at 661-267-5600 or TDD 661-267-5167, or visit www.cityofpalmdale.org/library.
