LANCASTER – The City of Lancaster is encouraging holiday shoppers to join them in celebrating the “Shop Small” movement during the Second Annual Small Business Saturday – Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 – by offering a special deal to those who shop on The BLVD that day.
“We love the concept of Small Business Saturday,” said Mayor R. Rex Parris. “It’s important to support the local small businesses that are often owned by our neighbors, friends and colleagues. In short, Shop Small is a big deal.”
For one day only, on Nov. 26, the Lancaster Performing Arts Center will be offering a “Buy One, Get One Free” deal for tickets to any Family Series show to shoppers who present a receipt from a purchase of at least $10 made on Nov.26 from a qualifying BLVD merchant or restaurant.
The LPAC Box Office will be open from noon to 6 p.m. to fulfill this special one-day offer.
The Family Series features shows that make great gifts for friends, family and colleagues; including Go Tell It on the Mountain: The Blind Boys of Alabama Christmas Show, Missoula Children’s Theatre The Secret Garden, BLAST!, Harlem Gospel Choir, PSY, and both Antelope Valley Ballet shows The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty.
Additionally, patrons will receive a one-time $25 statement credit from American Express® when they use their registered or linked American Express® Card on Small Business Saturday to make a purchase of $25 or more at a small business.
