Celebrate America on The BLVD

by Terrance Dilworth • September 10, 2011

Celebrate America

LANCASTER – Celebrate America got off to a wet start late Saturday afternoon, but by 6:30 p.m. hundreds of people had streamed onto The BLVD to enjoy the festivities. There were historical figures, vintage cars, an Elvis impersonator, a 1950s outdoor Cineplex, fireworks and a heartwarming tribute to the men and women who served in the armed forces.

The following are some sights from The BLVD Saturday:

    ~~~ sour grapes! sour grapes! sour grapes! ~~~
    I was there, actually, and it wasn’t a “big flop”, but a well-attended event by people from all over the Antelope Valley and as far away Acton, Rosamond, Mojave and Antelope Acres.
    That’s like when Fox News showed photos of the Mall in D.C. of thousands gathered for a Palin and then a Bachmann rally, but the photos were actually of a larger crowd from several months before WHEN THERE WERE LEAVES ON THE TREES.
    Fox News. AV Press. Lancaster politicians. The truth would set them free but they don’t wanna be free.
    They stated “hundreds”. Not the usual “thousands” rex and crew claim.
