About Gabriel’s House

The Palmdale City Council voted unanimously to approve the dedication of a home in Focus Neighborhood 3 for a new Neighborhood House and name it “Gabriel’s House,” in memory of eight-year-old Gabriel Fernandez who was tragically killed.

Working with The Art Branch, “Gabriel’s House” will serve as a music and performing arts center to provide children in the area with the opportunity to develop their creative talents.

I know exactly what you mean- everyone tried to make the apartments where it happened at out to be a bad place. Those apartments are actually some of the most well kept and family friendly apartments in the area. What happened to Gabriel happened because of an evil woman, and it would have happened the same if they lived in an upper class neighborhood.

It was really sad hearing what this child had to endure during his, so little, eight years of life. But tell me, what is the purpose of this house that is “dedicated” to Gabriel. I don’t understand its purpose

It will be a community center. The area around there is not the greatest. The how was probably already planned before the passing of this child. The city probably decided to name the House after him, since it happened in this community
