VIDEO: Black Friday madness around the country

Shoppers pile up at an east coast Walmart on Black Friday.

Antelope Valley residents were out in droves this morning (many even camped out overnight) taking advantage of Black Friday discounts and deals.

As of 3 p.m., Friday (Nov. 23), there were no reports of mayhem associated with Black Friday shoppers in the Antelope Valley, according to the watch commanders at the Lancaster and Palmdale Sheriff’s Stations.

“It’s been pretty smooth for us,” said Lt. Carter of the Lancaster Station.

The same cannot be said for other parts of the country.

Two women and a man came to blows in the sporting goods section at a Walmart in Mesa, AZ. A stern Walmart employee was able to peel the shoppers off each other and send them on their way.

Screaming shoppers pushed, grappled, and bit each other to get to a dwindling supply of phones at an east coast Walmart on Black Friday. (At around the 1:10 mark, a woman bites a man on the hand, who foolishly made a grab for her  merchandise.)

A father narrates the drama to his two young children, as shoppers prepare to rip each other apart for some $5 headphones at a Florida Walmart. (The scramble begins at the 1:25 mark.)

Hundreds of eager shoppers burst through the doors, creating mayhem at a Victoria’s Secret in Kansas City.

Insane. I make as many gifts as I can or try to buy from small, local people. Handcrafts rule and are so much more personal than a 2,000 inch TV.

I wish everybody did that. I don’t think the morons in the videos could glue a couple popsicle sticks together.

Why are my comments “awaiting moderation” for so long?

I think they’re on to you, Otto. They’re taking extra time to look for hidden meaning in your posts.

Scary.I wonder how many voted in the last election. No civility, no common sense and I suredon’t want to hear the merchants complain because they are mostly to blame for encouraging it.
    Bah humbug!

Yeah, they did one of two things. They didn’t vote or if they did, I have a pretty good idea for who!

I am. Be honest now. If you were offered a million bucks if you could correctly guess who these people would have voted for, what would your guess be? Honestly.

Give me the money first, then I’ll tell you who they voted for, if they voted.

What a bunch of idiots. Why not spend a few more bucks on-line and avoid a street brawl. This society has broken down. You never would have seen this as little as 20 years ago.
