Teacher’s aide pleads to molesting student

PALMDALE – A female teacher’s aide pleaded no contest Wednesday to sexually molesting a 13-year-old male student whom she was tutoring, the District Attorney’s office announced.

Holly Marie Polson, 35, pleaded no contest to all four counts of lewd act on a child under 14, said Deputy District Attorney Valerie Little. The married Palmdale resident entered her plea before Antelope Valley Superior Court Judge Hayden Zacky.

Polson, who has remained in custody since her June 14, 2011, arrest, faces up to 14 years in state prison when she returns to court on March 29 for sentencing.

Polson, who was an instructional aide at Shadow Hills Intermediate School, admitted having an ongoing sexual relationship with the student between May 29 and June 10, 2011, while they were in a classroom and in her car.

Sheriff’s deputies were alerted when the boy’s mother called police.
